About Pretty Cakes of London

Pretty cakes was set up in 2009 by Llinos Woods, an expert pastry chef who has worked for London’s most distinguished hotels and restaurants.

“I’ve always been fascinated with baking and I insist on using traditional methods and the very best ingredients to create my cakes,” says Llinos. “We also choose organic whenever possible and the results really speak for themselves.”

Llinos combines the lightest of sponges and biscuits with homemade butter creams, fabulous preserves or decadent Belgian chocolate.

Growing up at the family farm in Llandeilo, west Wales, Llinos would always be found baking alongside her mother, preparing fairy cakes, cookies and other delights to sell at the local market.

Since moving to London, Llinos has worked as pastry chef at the London Hilton on Park Lane, The Savoy, La Tante Claire with Pierre Koffmann, The Belvedere with Marco Pierre White and as Head Pastry Chef for the John Lewis group.

With such wide experience and a flare for the unique, Llinos decided to launch Pretty Cakes of London, a wedding cake and celebration cake company specialising in edible works of art.

Llinos loves seeing her customers reaction when they see their cakes for the first time, their eyes light up and they leave with a smile, which is very satisfying!
